Welcome to the Harbour Bar, Girvan. We are, and have been a family run business since 2007. Owned by Jane and Gordon McGregor, supported by their daughters Amy and Louise. Gordon's dad Bill McGregor brought him into the Harbour Bar when the family moved to the West coast from Glasgow in 1977. He was 18 years old then, and to this day if you asked him, he'll tell you it was the best move he ever made.
Located in deepest South Ayrshire, we consist of 3 indoor public areas and an external beer garden at the rear. Our public bar has remained largely unaltered since the very early 60s and boasts a collection of memorabilia depicting days gone by in the harbour and surrounding areas of Girvan. It's a lively space full of local characters and stories of days gone by. It won't, however, take the traveler long to find a seat and join in, although, perhaps the thicker the skin, the better! 
If you prefer something a little quieter then perhaps our lounge bar might suit you better. 
Our function suite is found upstairs from the bar and lounge... thoughtfully named "UPSTAIRS" @ the Harbour Bar! It is the jewel in our crown. With a capacity of 70, it comes alive twice every month to the sound of comedians, magicians, musicians and the best tribute acts for miles around! 
So as much as we may have many stories to tell from our Harbour Bar days, our "UPSTAIRS" story is only just beginning, why not come along and be a part of it.
